After Salman Khan it's John Abraham For Shabab Sabri

Singer Shabab Sabri who has almost become the voice of superstar Salman Khan has now moved onto John Abraham. But wait, if you think it has anything to do with John Salman alleged rivalry then you are wrong.

The singer has just lent his voice to the latest Welcome Back number Nas Nas Mein which has been picturised on John Abraham.

In a first of sorts, the same voice of the singer is used for five different actors in one song itself. Yes, apart from John, Shabab's voice in the song is also being used for Naseeruddin Shah, Shiney Ahuja, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor.

In a career spanning more than two decades Shabab has sung songs that are  romantic, soulful or sufi in nature. This is the first time the singer has crooned to a playful item number.

Sharing his experience Shabab says, "The song was challenging and fun at the same time. It was out of my comfort zone and I enjoyed every bit of it. I'm glad Nas Nas Mein happened to me for it added to my versatility like no other song could. And it's always a pleasure seeing some of the biggest of stars lip syncing to your voice!"

Apart from being Salman Khan's voice right from Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya (teri jawani badi badi mast mast hai) days, Shabab has also given voice to many hit numbers of Akshay Kumar like Gore mukhde from special 26.

The singer also has to his credits numbers like Judoo Tone Waaliyaan (Dawat-e-Ishq), Dil mera muft ka (Agent Vinod), Yahan Zindagi (Page 3), Koche Pathan (Zanzeer), Chalao Na Naino Se Baan (Bol Bachchan), Gore mukhde (Special 26), Humse pyaar karle (Teri Meri Kahani), Fashion khatam (Dolly Ki Doli).

About Island City

The film follows three comic-dramatic stories set in Mumbai. The first one is about a middle-aged man who wins the office ‘Fun Committee Award’, which entitles him to a whole day full of fun. He is most reluctant to leave the safety of his cubicle, but he has to. Prescribed fun modules have to be completed and non-compliance is not an option.

The second story begins with an autocratic man whose family brings home a television set when he is critically ill and away in a hospital. Now, every night the family plugs into a popular soap whose hero is a man ideal in every way.

While the third story centers on Aarti whose repetitive existence is slowly making her more and more mechanical and numb. Deep inside ferments a disconnect and unease that she is unable to articulate to anyone. Then one day there arrives a most intimate letter and everything changes.
