  Portugal Entertainment Industry is delighted to announce the launch of the film submission period for the 11th edition of FEST - New Directors | New Films Festival, which  will take place between the 22nd and the 29th of June 2015, in the Portuguese seaside town of Espinho.

As usual the event will have its main focus on the unveiling of new faces in the international film scene, with a complete and widespread competition program that will be giving out 10 awards in total.


New Films Festival is currently accepting feature films, fiction and non-fiction, from directors who are on their first or second production, regardless of age. We are also accepting short and medium length films (of up to 54 minutes) for our fiction, documentary, animation and experimental competitions, from directors up to the age of 30 (including).


After a tremendously successful experience in 2014, where they broke all submission records, the organization of the event decided to expand the submission alternatives. FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival, will take place in Espinho, a  seaside summer hotspot of Portugal between the 22^nd and the 29th of June , and is now one of the most important cultural events in Portugal, a great opportunity and an excellent forum for the new Filmmakers who wishes to establish himself in this industry


The Portugal Film Festival has a minimal fee for submission of 2 Euro for short films and 5 Euro for Feature films, the fee is not applicable for national films.

NGE team asks Sajid Nadiadwala for a big celebration

With four back to back hits by his production house - Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.  (NGE) in 2014, the year has been super successful for Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.

 As a producer, Sajid scored a hat-trick with his films `Highway`, `2 States` and `Heropanti` doing extremely well at the box office..

His directoral debut ‘ Kick’ striked gold at the box office and broke numerous records.  Sajid Nadiawala was bestowed with a special honor for the film at the recent Stardust awards.

He received the Stardust Special award for Biggest Grosser of 2014 for his film ' Kick'.

Sajid’s team has been asking him to throw a big success bash as 2014 has been a fabulous year for the director-producer.

With NGE sweeping away all the possible awards, the production house is riding high on success.
