Grazia India’s February cover star, Veer Pahariya, talks about his Bollywood debut, pushing boundaries, and cutting out the noise

Veer Pahariya featured by Grazia India

Grazia India's February issue turns the spotlight on Veer Pahariya, who made his big Bollywood debut alongside Akshay Kumar in the action-drama Sky Force. It may be Veer’s first film, but his journey as a performer began at the age of five when he fell in love with dance and the stage. In this exclusive cover feature, Veer reflects on his path so far, sharing how, as a first-generation artist in his family, the absence of an industry legacy only fueled his determination to forge his own identity. Known for celebrating individuality and ambition, Grazia India provides the perfect platform for his story, one of passion, resilience and breaking boundaries.

For his role as a Squadron Leader in Sky Force, Veer underwent a transformative process to embody the mindset of a fighter pilot. Recalling the process, he shares, “I needed a lot of emotional training to get into the psyche of a fighter pilot. I did a lot of workshops and spent a lot of time in solitude to get to know myself better.”

Talking about staying true to himself, he says“I really don’t care what anyone thinks. I’m here to have a voice, and in an occupation where everyone is trying to shoot you down for being different, I want to maintain that throughout my career.”

Opening up about his deep fascination for biopics, Veer shares, “I really enjoy biopics because I get to dive into the character I’m playing. It also scares me to get into the shoes of people who are recognised and followed – that is something that excites me.”

But his journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Having faced media scrutiny from an early age, Veer remains unfazed by the noise. He says, I’ve seen a lot of ups and downs in my family and personal life. I’ve had bad things written about me in the press since I was very young. The good, the bad – nothing affects me. I want to work and make a name for myself. So, I cut the noise and focus on myself.”

With an insatiable hunger for new experiences, Veer constantly seeks opportunities to reach his limits and wants to embrace roles that demand emotional and physical extremes. He remarks, “I like experiencing different things and pulling myself to extremes; so, I quite enjoyed living the life of a fighter pilot.”

Sangeita Chauhaan’s Bollywood debut with Luv U Alia

The lead actress of Luv U AliaSangeita Chauhaan  has been a contestant of Miss India 2008, reached Top 5 and was also awarded the title for Miss Beautiful Smile.

This sweetie-smiley girl has modelled for several products, taken part in Ramp Walk and appeared in good number of commercials. Born and brought up in Gujarat. She is a Rajput and wanted to become an actor since her childhood. I must be something around 6-7 years old.

Sangeita was a shy and an introvert school kid. I remember when my teacher had selected me for the school drama. I was very low on confidence. I was a sportsperson in school. Have graduated in Commerce.

Sangeita Chauhaan speaks exclusively to FILMY TOWN

Tell us what is Luv U Alia about.
Alia is the daughter of separated parents and having seen turbulent times in the family, she is totally disillusioned with the institution of marriage. Reluctant to tie the knot, it is then circumstances which unfold realization on her.

What is your role in the film?
I get to play the central role and feel blessed having this opportunity. She is a simple girl, contemperory person, working too and appears like a girl next door.
She falls into a relationship and that is when complications occur in her life.

DANIEL WEBER TAKES HINDI LESSONS FROM WIFE SUNNY LEONE

When Bollywood’s current hot favorite comes in support of her spouse what more do you expect than a revelation. Isn’t it the best feeling when your better half supports and stands by not just during your thick and thins but holds your hand and supports you in your new ventures?

Daniel Weber who is set to make his Bollywood debut with “Dangerous Husn” has been taking hindi lessons in order to improve his hindi diction. Guess who’s helping the handsome hunk.

Daniel looks forward to speaking in Hindi for his films and wants to do movies that he would love to watch as a spectator. “I’m still learning every day, and I’m learning to adapt and adjust. I work as much as I can. I have learnt to read and write, I try to watch films without subtitles so that I can understand Hindi better” further adding “I started taking Hindi classes few months back. I understand at least 80 percent. I’m trying really hard. I have been a citizen of India since quite some time so I understand the basic hindi but speaking in day to day life is different than delivering dialogues in hindi”

Elaborating about Sunny Leone being his teacher, Daniel says “Sunny indeed helps me a lot. She speaks to me in Hindi so that I can be well versed with the language which will help with my dialogues. We stay connected through the day and she constantly advises me about the camera look, my dialogues etc. She’s been not just a wife but also a dotting teacher to me”
