Filmy Celebrities come Together for Women Empowerment

The Bold & the Beautiful Come Together for a Night Dedicated to Women Empowerment!


26th March 2014, Mumbai: For the 1st time, the city saw Bollywood celebrities, politicians and the corporate world all under one paradigm, all to support that one cause that unites or breaks all mankind – Women! Kelvinator Stree Shakti Women Achievers Award, a COLORS initiative is a ceremony created by Smruti Shinde & Vikas Gulati of SOBO Films. The award ceremony would not have moved forward without the gracious support of Kelvinator as its sponsor. It celebrated its 1st year this evening with a grand opening at a suburban 5-star hotel. The nation will catch this extravagant affair on COLORS in the coming month.

The award function celebrated the life of those women who have made their presence known in this progressive society with a predominant male presence all the while believing in the limitless possibilities that life has to offer. This ceremony brought to light the life of those women who are wise, courageous, compassionate and brave enough to take charge and leave an impact on society. Faced with obstacles these women walked on a path less travelled and prove to the world that they are forces to be reckoned with.



The beauty about this award function was that it brought together woman from all walks of life under one roof, where their inspiring stories are shared with everyone on a higher platform, raising awareness towards the recognition of woman’s empowerment.

These Awards were backed by some of the most prominent faces in India who took out time to show support for this celebration. Gracing the Red Carpet with their eloquence and elegance were some of industry’s biggest names who were honored with Awards in categories of Outstanding Achievers, Popular Achievers, and Honorary Achievers and many more.
Gracing the event were the crème de la crème of the industry like Madhuri Dixit, Jacquline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt, Jeetendra, Ekta Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Nita Ambani, Kajol, Zeenat Aman, Jackie Shroff, Madhur Bhandarkar, Sonali Bendre, Raveena Tondon, Ramesh Taurani, Monali Thakur, Comedian Bharti Singh, Geeta Basra, Abhishekh Kapoor, Ganesh Hegde, Sangram Singh, Payal Rohatgi, Anita Dongre, Arjan Bajwa, Subhash Ghai, Dolly Bindra,Amir Ali, Rashmi Desai, Krishika Lulla and many more…who turned this noteworthy ceremony into one of the most talked about and illustrious event in town. Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri to make special appearance in Yeh Hai Aashiqui

It goes without saying that Madhuri is a great dancer, but what most of us don’t know is her love for arts and this episode is particularly close to her heart.

Talking about her appearance on the television show , Madhuri says, “Arts and culture are extremely close to my heart and I felt the same way about the story being showcased on YehhaiAashiqui.

The story of two passionate dancers whose spirit and worship for dance does not wither away with misfortunes is very similar to my character Begum Para, as dancing is her way of celebrating life and expressing her deepest emotions.”
