Total Siyapaa - Film Review

Disappointing

Rating - **

Asha (Yami Gautam) is of Indian origin and Aman (Ali Zafar) is a Pakistani national, both are residents in the United Kingdom.

Aman visits the girls parents’ house to seek their permission. On the day when he is supposed to meet Asha’s parents, an unfortunate incident occurs as due to some misunderstanding he is mistaken as a terrorist and goes through the strip-search by the cops.

He is let off at the station, and is in lowest of his spirits and wants to postpone his meeting with the girl’s parents for some other day. However Asha is insistent that he finish the task on that day itself, and despite his hesitation, they head for the girls parents house.

Marketed as a rib-tickling rom-com as marketed in its trailers, the film disappoints as the supposedly funny instances just fall flat. The film is far from being a funny film with chaotic and outrageous situations.

DHAG - Marathi Film Review

Rating: ****

A young boy wanting to break the succession of traditional jobs in his low caste family. Dhag (Fire or Blaze) is a Marathi film directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil. It is an emotional, serious film.

Fire in the stomach usually makes a man shielded. It makes him fight against destiny and in this war, happiness, peace and satisfaction appear too distant like stars in the sky, what you just can see but can never achieve.

A heart touching film that captures the trials and tribulations of young Krishna in his journey, desire to break the succession of traditional job of cremating people.

QUEEN - Hindi film Review

Rating: ***

WHY SHOULD BOYS HAVE ALL THE FUN?

Story of a simple Delhi based girl who’s life changes unexpectedly. The story of Rani Mehra, a simple middle class, conservative girl has her dreams shattered when her to be husband leaves her stranded at the altar.

She then goes into depression, and then with her will power, goes out all alone in the world and comes home with a transformed personality of that of self confidence and living life her way.

Kangana has come up with a realistic performance, Lisa Haydon as the girl in Paris fits into her character with ease, while Rajkummar Rao has just a brief role as that of the indecisive groom.
This film is worth a watch that has you smile all throughout. Why should boys have all the fun?
