Bhushan Kumar’s “Dheere Dheere” breaking records….



With a week since the launch of the classic it has created sensation like no other song ever. Yo Yo Honey Singh along with T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar brought back the cult song of Aashiqui ‘Dheere Dheere’ with a modern twist.

The song which stars Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor had become the first Indian song to get the fastest 1 million views. And the song has seen a constant traction! The recreated track which was launched a week back on the music label’s official YouTube channel has received more than 20 million views till date.

The song created quite a buzz on social media and has been trending even before the launch of the song. The song that created a roar in the 90s has yet again become a digital sensation in 2015. The chemistry between Hrithik and Sonam which is quite sizzling is sung, written and composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh and his mother Bhupinder Kaur has also contributed to the lyrics of the song.

The song is a tribute in the loving memory of Bhushan Kumar’s father Shri Gulshan Kumar. Bhushan Kumar shared, “The kind of response the song is receiving is overwhelming, especially, since it is our way of reviving the memories of my father. The song going 20mllion in such a short span is heartwarming.”

T-Series with Colors come together for ‘Suron Ke Rang – Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’

Organizes a tribute concert of Shri Gulshan Kumar celebrating his contribution towards the Indian music industry

T-Series with Colors today announced the creation of unique musical property focusing on developing a string of LIVE music events called ‘Suron Ke Rang’ catering to its music-loving viewers. The concert will celebrate the illustrious life and the works of the man behind the establishment and the solid standing of T-Series in the Indian Film Industry today – Shri Gulshan Kumar. This first-of-its-kind association with Bollywood music giant will bring together over 40 musical stalwarts, 60 popular and unique compositions across three decades to launch the ‘Suron Ke Rang – Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’ tribute concert. With names like AR RahmanShankar Mahadevan, Anuradha Paudwal, Mika Singh, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Himesh Reshammiya, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Anup Jalota, Sapna Mukherjee, Shilpa Rao, Shalmali Kholgade, Palak Muchhal composers like Pritam Chakarborty, Raju Singh along with new age sensations like Tulsi Kumar, Mithoon, Benny Dayal, Ankit Tiwari, Meet Bros, Akriti Kakkar, Amaal & Armaan Malik and DJ Chetas will all come together for a soulful and visually appealing musical evening while paying homage to Shri Gulshan Kumar. Music director Jeet Ganguli has composed a special song for the concert which is penned by Manoj Muntashir. Hosted byAyushmann Khurrana along with Sonu Nigam as a guest host the event will be held in Mumbai on 22nd September which is conceptualized by Kickstart Entertainment and will air on COLORS later this year.

The Concert, a tribute to Late Gulshan Kumar, will witness the participation of stalwarts from the world of Indian music as they come together to salute the magnificence that was Gulshan Kumar and recreate some of the best longstanding T-Series ballads which have marked the brand’s success over the past three decades. ‘Suron Ke Rang – Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’ will showcase performances across genres showcasing the growth of Indian film music – from romantic films songs and spiritual bhajans, to foot tapping remixes, party hits, new-age Bollywood songs and unplugged EDM versions that have become a rage today, the concert will celebrate the coming to age of the Indian music industry.

NFDC Film Bazaar 2015- Calls for Entries for the Producer’s Lab

NFDC Film Bazaar 2015 is calling for entries for the third edition of Producer’s Lab, a training platform introduced in 2013 to help emerging producers cultivate a sense of vision and learn the art of balancing the creative and financial aspects of filmmaking.
This year, the NFDC Film Bazaar will be held from November 20-24, 2015 at the Goa Marriott Resort alongside the International Film Festival of India 2015.
The deadline for submission of application is 30th September 2015.
Multiple sessions on the different facets of producing films are conducted by key industry experts and professionals at the lab which is aimed at providing training and networking opportunities to upcoming Independent Producers from across the world.
The application fee for the Producers’ Lab is INR 25,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand). Only applicants who have been shortlisted to participate at the Lab will need to pay the fees (which excludes cost of travel and accommodation, but includes the registration fees for Film Bazaar). NFDC will intimate the shortlisted applicants via email by the end of October 2015.
Applicants should have worked as Producers or Line/Supervising/Executive producers in either one of the following and completed the same: Feature-length film | Short film | Documentary film | Television Commercial | Television Serial. The Lab is open to applicants from across the world but they should be proficient in English.
The highlights of Producer’s Lab 2014:
In 2014, Kirsten Niehuus, Managing Director, Film Funding, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Isabel Davis, Head of International, British Film Institute discussed the dynamics of public funding in and co-production with Germany and the United Kindgom, respectively. Viola Fugen, Head of Co-Productions at The Match Factory conducted a session on working with international co-producers and brought in her perspective of what an international co-producer looks for in a project creatively. Also present at the Lab was Marco Muller, the Artistic Director of Rome Film Festival who conducted a session on the importance of film festivals and how they can shape the journey of a film.
Another session, focusing on newer modes of engaging audiences through non-conventional platforms, was conducted by Aanchal Bahadur, Youtube Partner-Manager at Google India and Manan Singhi, Head of Music Partnerships, Youtube — India & South Asia. Pratiksha Rao, Head of TV & Entertainment, Twitter was present to speak about newer, more creative ways of reaching audiences through Twitter and the power of storytelling that transcends duration and medium of exhibition.
The 2014 edition of Producers’ Lab also witnessed sessions on film marketing by Rudrarup Datta, Head of Marketing and Operations, Viacom 18 India and on content creation for youth audiences by Ashish Patil, Business and Creative Head, Youth Films, Brand Partnerships, Talent Management, Yash Raj Films.
