Love Shagun - movie review


JD (Anuj sachdeva) is a young man, still a mamma’s boy. He is at an important stage in his life of choosing a life partner.
Like all mothers, his mom is persistent about getting him married. It appears like a plain situation which all youngsters go through, and JD is accompanied by an unusual combination of problems, prressure to get married and second of the astrological predictions surrounding them.
His astrological charts predict that this boy ought to get married twice. His first marriage would end in a disastrous situation, and if managed to scrape thorough it, his second marriage would bring him peace and happiness.
Caught in a fix, JD fights the battle with his three friends, Sandy, Sumit and Deepak who have their own definitions of love.

Sagar Sarhadi, Kamlesh Pandey honored at International Film Festival of Prayag


26 January, 2016, Allahabad: 
Second edition of International Film Festival of Prayag (IFFP) was inaugurated by veteran writer Sagar Sarhadi by lighting the lamp. This auspicious occasion was marked with the presence of some of the eminent people from the film fraternity that included film writer Kamlesh Pandey, producer-director N. Chandra, filmmaker Deepak Mahaan, Gaurav Dwivedi (Vice president, U.P. Film Development Board). The founder and director of IFFP, Hasan Haider welcomed all the guests. The whole ceremony was conducted by Anita Sehgal.

Sagar Sarhadi, writer of films like Kabhie Kabhie, Silsila, Bazaar and Anubhav was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by Hasan Haider, the founder-director of IFFP. Along with him veteran writer Kamlesh Pandey was honored with Shaan-e-Prayag, producer-director N. Chandra got the Excellence in Cinema award while Deepak Mahaan received the Emerging Filmmaker award. Gaurav Dwivedi and Anita Sehgal were felicitated as the guest of honor at the ceremony. Mumbai filmmaker Manto Pashupatinath’s  ‘A Daughter’s Dream’ was kick started the event as the opening film.

Many national and international movies based on International Film Festival of Prayag 2016’s theme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ were selected for the festival.  Amrit Ganger (Film scholar) and Gul Riyaz (Actor and filmmaker) are among the jury members while Masood Bakshi, filmmaker from Tehran will be there as International Jury member. These three jury members will be present for all the 56 films screened during the festivals.

Dhara 302 is Dipti Dhotre’s Bollywood debut

She Is from Pune. Was keen in acting since College, haven’t undergone any formal training in action, and it is her keen observation sense that has brought her to this level. Was a video editor for a corporate agency and then went on to assist the action editor of Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’.
This was the turning point in her career as it dawned on her that she wanted to something different.
Dipti is doing 4 Marathi films all of which are under production, While Dhara 302 is her first hindi film which releases on 26 February 2016.
Dhara 302 is an action – gang war film based on true events in the land of Rajasthan. It is the story of a boy Veer Singh who takes the route of crime under difficult circumstances at the age of 12 years. The young lad is forced to continue his journey in the big bad world of crime.
It follows the life struggle of a man who unfortunately ends up becoming a criminal. Change of heart doesn’t help the protagonist as he’s forced to lead a life which nobody would want to.
Dhara 302 is written & directed by Jitendra Singh Naruka and produced by Bhawani Shankar Yogi.
