Shekhar Suman launches Shahroze Sadath’s short film THE MAGIC OF GIVING starring Vaquar Shaikh and Shweta Gulati

It was an evening to remember as Shekhar Suman launched short film ‘THE MAGIC OF GIVING’ starring actors Vaquar Shaikh and Shweta Gulati.
The film is jointly produced by Shahroze Sadath & Imtiaz Ahmed & is directed by Shahroze Sadath. Many other celebrities like Ayoob Khan, Zeb Khan, Aditi, Roma Navani, Kiku Sharda, Shalini Kapoor, Khaleed Siddique, Imran Khan, Girish Sahdev, Rekha Sahay, Janak Toprani,  Kiran Deohans, Suresh Suwarna, Prashant Ingole and others also graced their presence.
Shekhar Suman was quite moved by the 18-min film which, as the title suggests, is based on the idea of giving. He said, “I am very impressed by Shahroze Sadath’s thought that went behind making this film. We all should take a cue from it. ”
“In life or in any relationship, the more we give, the more we will get. We have to understand life from a different perspective. Taking is very easy, be it money or gifts or anything. But the true value of your heart is known when you give, that too when you don’t have anything.  Those who give will be blessed by the almighty as shown in the film,”  the veteran actor said.
He further went on to add, “It’s a very beautiful film. Vaquar & everyone in the film have done a fantastic job. It takes a lot of courage to make a short film like this. If you can share some good thoughts and change lives, it’s very commendable.”
The film is uploaded on YouTube and can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1ECCR7z

Bombay Velvet - Hindi movie review

Rating: **

It is the story of how Bombay transformed its landscape during the 60s and 70s and the corrupt administration, which is hand in glove with the mill owners and the rich. This apart, the story is woven around the backdrop of Ranbir-Anushka romance.

Ranbir Kapoor plays a small time hood, with an aim to become a 'big-shot' before he dies, Ranbir plays an ambitious street fighter, with a painful childhood. Ranbir gets into the skin of his character and is so realistic that one feels for the person Johnny Balraj.
Karan Johar's role as a media mogul Kaizad Khambata has a striking introductory scene. His performance as an antagonist is overshadowed by powerful performances by Manish Chaudhary, apart from the lead pair.
