Dinesh Patel – Masterchef India Season 5


19th October 2016, Mumbai: ‘Cakes and Confections are a way of Life’ with an effervescence attitude of a baker and a persona of an entrepreneur, Dinesh Patel marks his journey from the patisseries of London to an internationally acclaimed culinary show ‘Masterchef India’. With a background in law, Dinesh has followed his heart for baking and embarked on to pursue his passion on such an illustrious platform which has enabled him to set his foot forward to his home country India and connect with his roots.
To this Dinesh adds, “I’m so excited to be a part of such an amazing journey, Masterchef India I never want it to end!!”

Seeking inspiration from his grandmother’s cooking skills has enabled him to develop a strong zest towards cooking. Learning from the internet and culinary books led him to Experiment with different cuisines, techniques and flavors. The baking aficionado wishes to keep his passion alive in cooking and finds it a complete stress buster.

Stepping into Masterchef has enabled Dinesh with valuable experience, also connecting with his co-contestants, fans is of primary importance to Dinesh who has learnt a lot from his eminent judges Chef Kunal Kapur, Chef Zorawar Kalra and Chef Vikas Khanna. Describing his experiences with the judges Dinesh quotes, “Chef Vikas, you’re an inspiration, your struggles in life and determination are a true beacon for many out there, I hope to one day be a source of inspiration like this to others”. He further adds, “Chef Kunal has influenced me and every day I get to learn some new skills and techniques from him. I am a big fan of Chef Zorawar and I’d like to be like him one day”.
Masterchef India is a glorious platform accompanied with opportunities and Dinesh hopes that through this he can achieve his dream of bringing his passion ‘Couture Confections’ to India and filling everyone’s lives with a little more sweetness with plates filled with sugary treats.   

Sunny Leone sends out a message on Breast Cancer

IN THE WAKE OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, SUNNY LEONE URGES FOR AN EARLY DETECTION AS AN EARLY CURE FOR THE RISING BREAST CANCER CASES IN INDIA



Apart from October being known for the famous Oktober fest in Europe, in India we wish to stand for something more significant. For the uninitiated, October is observed as ‘International Breast Cancer Awareness Month’.
As part of its Public Service Campaign, AurDikhao, a digital media channel in association with Dr Aneel Murarka and Manish Murarka - promoters of Ample Missiion Events Entertainment and more LLP have developed a full-fledged campaign called #DetectToDefeat.

The campaign features renowned Bollywood Sunny Leone giving an appealing message looking in the mirror. The video also features various characters a women interacts with on a day-to-day basis who go has to deal with perverts who stare at her breasts.

Research says breast cancer is one of the fastest rising cancer types amongst women. More than half of the cases are detected in stage 3 or 4, thus inhibiting any chances for cure. According to data prepared by Breast Cancer India, the number of young people being diagnosed with breast cancer is on the rise. 25 years ago, out of 100 patients, only 2% were between 20-30 years old and 7% were between 30-40 years old. Currently, 4% are between  20-30 and 16% are between 30-40 years old.

“In February this year, Sunny featured in our viral anti-smoking campaign titled ‘11 Minutes’ that received 4 million hits in 4 days. We had great time working with her. She’s an absolute sport and in the whole process she’s as much part of the campaign as we are. When we pitched this idea to her, she was excited to work on this campaign. Given her stature as a public influencer, her endeavour will definitely create impact among the people for the breast cancer awareness. We hope men and women will spread this to loved ones leading to call for action” said Aditya Bhat, Founder of Business Of Ideas that manages digital channel Aur Dikhao.

The campaign, in association with Facebook initiated updating their profile pictures with a breast cancer badge- pink ribbon along with a message Detect To Defeat. Sunny was amongst the first to update her profile picture to support the cause.
