ART MEETS FASHION AT DVAR

THE FASHION HOUSE HOSTS A GALA EVENING FOR ART AND FASHION AFICIONADOS

Mumbai, October 7th, 2014 – To celebrate the Festive season - DVAR, the Luxury Fashion House in Juhu, Mumbai hosted an evening amidst great fanfare to the connoisseurs of art, style and the fashion forward of the city today. On display were beautifully captured landscapes of Leh- Ladakh by ace photographer Vikas Birla amidst a host of designer wear featuring the best of haute couture, luxe, bridal, ethnic and contemporary designs.

The soiree was attended by Sara Loren, Pinky and Sunaina Roshan, Aditya Pancholi, Geeta Basra, Abhimanyu Dasani, Pooja Salvi, Sonaakshi and Malvika Raj, Shiv Raheja, Nikhil Raheja, Bikram Saluja and Schauna Chauhan.

With an avid love for photography, Vikas Birla has encapsulated the scenic beauty of the surreal gold fields, snow clad mountains, breath taking lush greenery, blue water ripples and snow white clouds through his pictures. The stunning art pieces sure seized the attention of the guests and their captured their hearts.

DVAR displayed a veritable harmony of form, fabric and colour with slivers of gold zari, brocade appliqued georgettes and jamevars with the exclusive couture line by Studio Vastra by Purvi Shah and Priti Parekh. An astounding collection of classic renditions of Contemporary Indian wear by Ushma Vaidya brought a new twist to the timeless classics.

DVAR also showcased a handsome collection of bandhgalas, vests, shirts and kurtas for men by by Designer Label 'Purple Jade'. A bespoke men's wear brand by Chiraag Dattani, the label has a trademark of fine finish and clean contemporary styling, which ensure that the garments become classics. Reminiscent of Antique India yet retaining a contemporary style, the collection is an amalgamation of soulful Indian heritage with true urban influences.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayta V Gandhi, Jt.MD, DVAR said, “We are very excited to host this unique culmination of Art and Fashion.
