Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nimrat Kaur feature in ‘The Lunch Box’

After achieving rave reviews and accolades at Cannes, ‘The LunchBox’ takes it one step forward by holding a screening for Asia Society on the 15th of September in Mumbai. The screening would be held at 12 noon and would be followed by Q&A and lunch.

With ace actors like Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nimrat Kaur featuring in the movie, ‘The Lunch
Box’ has become a brand in itself.

The three shining talents along with the director Ritesh  Batra would be adding that extra flavor to the screening.

After Karan Johar joined ‘The LunchBox’ team, an additional ambitious talent was attached to the film.

The studio has garnered huge critical acclaim for its diverse ventures from D-Day to Haunted and its upcoming project  ‘Mickey Virus’ has already created an enthusiastic audience awaiting its release.

The studio's recent venture ‘The LunchBox’ as well has performed brilliantly, way before its release.

DHYAAS (Marathi film) music launched

The music of 3D stereoscopic film “DHYAAS” based on Circus, launched this week in the presence of the chief guests Shri Yashwant Deo and Shri Kiran Shantaram. the veterans have praised the music after seeing the glimpse of the songs at the event.

Shri Yashwant Deo said that he was really impressed that in todays generation he could hear that melodious music where he could even hear each word of the songs. Shri Shantaram Saheb blessed Mandaar Shinde the director for his first 3D film shot in Dolby Atmos to be super hit.

The director of the film Mandaar Shinde was present along with cast and crew.

The film has been shot in Chennai and Thailand, the music is by Lahu-Madhav and the the singers are Asha Bhonsle, Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Kunal Ganjawala…

The above mentioned singers have sung for Marathi films earlier but this film is the first Marathi film where all these playback singers have come together.

As the buzz builds up to the 15th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival, the just-announced list of jury members has raised expectations even further. Featuring a heady mix of some of the finest film makers, actors and connoisseurs, the fest is set to be bigger come October.
Heading the International Competition jury as the president will be director Bruce Beresford, whose 1989 film Driving Miss Daisy won the Academy Award for the Best Film.  He was also nominated for Best Director in 1984 for Tender Mercies. This jury also boasts of more world class talents in the French actress Nathalie Baye, multi-faceted artist who has worked with the likes of Godard and Truffaut. There is Masato Harada too, renowned Japanese actor -  director of The Last Samurai fame and our own Konkana Sen Sharma, who’s given us memorable films such as Mr and Mrs Iyer and Omkara.

The India Gold 2013 Competition section jury is equally eminent, with the Academy Award winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi heading the Jury panel as President. By his side will be the man behind the acclaimed film Osama (2004) which won him an Academy award nomination, Siddiq Barmark. More names on this list include acclaimed British actor/director Waris Hussein of Doctor Who and Passage to India fame, Jill Bilcock

(Australian Film Editor and Academy Award nominee for Moulin Rouge) and Roger Garcia, the executive director of the prestigious Hong Kong International Film Festival, film critic and an authority on Asian Cinema.

The 15th Mumbai Film Festival will take place from the 17th – 24, October 2013.

The 15th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival will be held at Metro Cinema and Liberty Cinemas as the main festival venues and Cinemax, Andheri (West) as the satellite venue.
