Frank and outspoken MNS President Raj Thackeray who slammed the Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani has the qualities of Chapekar Brothers who revolted against the British. They were one of the pioneers of freedom struggle which bore fruits after several years later.
Dhiraj Mishra, the Screenplay and Dialogues Writer of ‘Chapekar Brothers’ remarked, “Raj Thackrey has similar ideologies and qualities of the Chapekar Brothers”, while felicitating him at his residence in Dadar, Mumbai.
‘Chapekar Brothers’ the hindi film features Abhijit Bhagat, Sanjeet Dhuri and Manoj Bhatt who play the Chapekar brothers, Indian revolutionaries involved in the 1896 assassination of the British Plague Commissioner of Pune, W C Rand.
This film has been in the news for the diktat from the Censor Board over a film scene. Post that incident, MNS President Raj Thackeray has pledged his full support to the movie by felicitating the family members belonging to the martyr Chapekar Brothers. The MNS Chief paid his tributes to the immortal freedom fighters by presenting a memento to today’s generation of Chapekar family.
Shrimati Pratibha Prafulla Chapekar, Prashant Prafulla Chapekar, Avinash Nilkanth Chapekar and Shashank Nilkanth Chapekar were present at the felicitation ceremony.

FILM MAKER IN THE MAKING - Rahul Handa
Rahul Handa always had a passion for Cinema. He started acting in and directing plays while in school at Learners Academy Mumbai, United World College Singapore and American School Dhaka. He graduated with a four year degree in Film from Emerson College, Boston.
Combining his passion in acting and his graduate degree focusing on all aspects of film making made him into an all round film maker.
When asked about just to release film Fugly, Rahul, the story writer of film, said “I wrote the story while still in college in the US. It is a story of four friends starting on life when their lives take a twisted turn. The events in the film are socially relevant to any given period of time. Returning to Mumbai, it took me some time but when I shared the story with Kabir Sadanand, he loved it. The process of turning the story from paper to celluloid began.” When asked further, Rahul said “I am very proud of the way Fugly has turned out. The audience will like it”. Rahul is also the Associate Director of Fugly. Rahul added “the cherry on the cake was Kabir asking me at the spur of the moment to act as an Arab Sheikh in Leh. He knew I had an Arab Disdasha and Gutra in my bag. It is a rather funny moment.”
Asked about his experience so far in Bollywood, Rahul said “for a new comer, not from the industry, not having lived in India, it is not too easy. However with a never give up and keep living your dream attitude, one is bound to witness success.”
About his future plans, Rahul said “I am writing a new script. I would love to step up from Associate Director to Director”. He adds “writing, direction and acting make me a complete filmmaker.”

YELLOW honoured with National Award
YELLOW movie is honoured with Special Jury Award whereas Gauri Gadgil and Sanjana Rai are given Special Jury Mention for the movie Yellow

Produced by VIVA IN-EN and Mumbai Film Company and directed by Mahesh Limaye movie YELLOW has bagged the Special Jury Award at 61st National Award. Special highlight of the movie was the child actors Gauri Gadgil and Sanjana Rai who also bagged the Special Jury Mention for the movie Yellow.
A very sensitive theme is very positively presented in the movie YELLOW. YELLOW isn't just a story about overcoming once personal challenges, but it is also a lesson for each one to be grateful and feel blessed for the many things we take for granted. After the grand success of ‘Balak Palak’, acclaimed actor Riteish Deshmukh and Uttung Hitendra Thakur once again back together to produce YELLOW.
From scripting to completion of the movie, to release and after, the movie has always been in limelight and talk of the town. Hundreds of dignitaries & celebrities and lakhs of movie lovers followed the movie on social media.

Working with non professionals was a big task which was gratefully tackled by Upendra Limaye, Mrinal Kulkarni and Hrushikesh Joshi,” said the director of the movie Mahesh Limaye.
After noted bollywood films as cinematography, YELLOW is Mahesh Limaye’s first movie as a director. This is an honour to the director who was hidden in Mahesh Limaye since long. The writer of Balak-Palak Ganesh Pandit and Amber Hadap has written the story of YELLOW whereas the screenplay was by Ambar Hadap, Ganesh Pandit & Mahesh Limaye.
Upendra Limaye, Mrinal Kulkarni, Hrushikesh Joshi, Manoj Joshi, Aishwarya Narkar, Usha Nadkarni, Shikhar Hitendra Thakur has given their best performance ever. The music & background score was handled by Kaushal Inamdar, songs written by Guru Thakur and sung by Avadhoot Gupte and Apeksha Dandekar in her melodious voice.
One of the most loved actor Salman Khan was also inspired after watching the movie YELLOW and he has shown keen interest to remake the movie in hindi.
The most talked film continue to attract the bollywood and marathi film fraternity. The film is still in theaters attracting more movies buff every day. A must watch, Yellow makes a special place in your heart with its simple story about a girl's determination to not let any shortcomings come in the way of achieving her dreams.
