Yeh Hai Bakrapur – Film Review

Rating:***

A social satire set against the back-drop of rural India. A multi-layered film, it dwells, at the primary level, on the relationship between Shahrukh, the rockstar goat, his young human friend Zulfi Qureshi and Jaffer, the village barber. A multi-layered film, it is primarily a hilarious take on the complex belief systems in our society and the conflicts that ensue thereon.

It dwells, at the primary level, on the relationship between eight year old Zulfi Qureshi and his pet goat Shahrukh. By a strange set of circumstances, the entire village soon starts believing that Shahrukh, the goat, has divine or magical powers.
