3D Animated Avatar Of Ramayana With Mahayoddha Rama

An epic age old story, told in a new age manner. ContiloePictures, one of India’s leading production houses unfolds the epic story of Ramayana in a unique 3D animated avatar. The movie portrays the greatest villain of Indian mythology, Ravana, like never before.
Mahayoddha Rama is unique in its storytelling style and novel presentation. Rama, the Indian hero from the Vedas is seen here in a new light. The entire story is from Ravana’s point of view with his 10 heads talking to each other, providing for comic relief through their individual and unique point of view. These 10 heads portray different characteristics with one being a ram bhakt and chanting “jai shri ram” at every mention of his while another never loses an opportunity to show Lankesh down. Some of the voices for the heads are given by famous artists like Gaurav Gera, Roshan Abbas, Ameen Sayani, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kikku Shardha and Gulshan Grover being the main head.

Bang Bang Hindi Movie Review

Rating: ***

Hrithik and Katrina star in this action movie, a remake of the Hollywood film – Knight and Day (Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz), directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios.

Supposedly touted as the most expensive Bollywood film, it is high octane action drama mounted on huge canvas, superb action scenes, hot chemistry between the lead pair and yet it lacks soul. There is virtually no storyline and those family scenes depict no connect between the protagonist and his parents, rather they slow down the pace.

It begins with action sequence in London where a dreaded terrorist Omar Zafar (Danny Denzongpa) escapes through his aides, right in presence of an Indian army officer Viren Nanda (Jimmy Shergill). Omar Zafar ruthlessly murders the Indian soldier.

Omar Zafar is informed by his abettor Hamid Gul (Jaaved Jaffrey) that the British government is on the verge of signing a Special Extradition treaty with India. The dreaded terrorist comes up with a plan to derange the talks with the offer of announcing a prize of 5 million Dollars to whoever (should be an Indian only) steals the Kohinoor Diamond from the Brits.

Fugly – Hindi Movie review

Rating: **

Unsuccessful attempt at creating a 'Me too' product of Rang De Basanti.

“Fugly” is a story of four close friends Dev (Mohit Marwah), Devi (Kiara Advani), Gaurav (Vijendra Singh) and Arfi Lamba (Tatti). Here Gaurav is a son of politician (Hari Singh Ahalawat) who is instrumental in often bailing out his friends whenever they are in a ditch. Or in simple words ‘saved’ whenever they break any rules. Hence these four move around as ‘tension free guys’.

Except for watching Mohit Marwah (Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor’s cousin), and even more than him, the young generation would like to go and watch it for our Olympian medalist Vijender Singh in his debut film. He is just awesome. Other than these guys, there aren’t any praiseworty performances from rest of the cast, and hence support of special appearances by Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.

Bullet Raja - Bollywood Film Review

Rating: **

Raja Mishra (Saif Ali Khan) is a Brahmin boy in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh looking for a job but gets involved with goons, and when he is chased, Raja sees a wedding procession and joins it.

It is the local strongman's daughter's wedding and the procession is headed towards the strongman’s haveli, where Raja instantly befriends the bride's cousin, Rudra Tripathi (Jimmy Shergill). Within hours, Rudra and Raja become best of friends, and Raja becomes a part of rest of the functions and events of this Lucknowi wedding.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullet Raja has unrealistic gunfights, goons openly ruling the city, depicting incompetence of police force and a mishmash of love, politics and the underworld. It is a below average film.
