PHOBIA - Hindi movie review

Rating: ****

Radhika Apte is definitely one of the most under rated actresses in Bollywood. While in some other film she comes up as the glamorous doll, and maybe in the next, she is just the typical girl next door. This film needs to be appreciated for the courageous performance by Radhika Apte.
Phobia has number of firsts to its credit. Besides being one-of-a-kind psychological thriller, the makers have incorporated Virtual Reality technology, a first for a Bollywood film.
The central character, Mehak (Radhika Apte), an artist by profession, who suffers from agoraphobia, can be seen using a VR set in the movie.
Probably, this year’s creepiest psychological thriller is about an artist who visualizes violent and negative incidents which have no connection whatsoever.

BADLAPUR - Hindi movie review

Rating: ****

BADLAPUR - Hindi movie review

A dark thriller with its unique story telling approach gathering momentum with its pace, magnificent camera work and superlative performances from Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi.

Yet another spine-chiller from Sriram Raghavan who earlier made a notable revenge drama – Ek Hasina Thi (2004) and an out-and-out thriller – Johnny Gaddaar (2007). Badlapur doesn’t preach, has no message, it is just a plain thriller which has an unpredictable ending.
